- Tuesday, April 5 - National Arbor Day, 10:00 AM, Wills Park
- Celebrate La Plata, Saturday, April 30th, from 12 PM to 4 PM - with craft and business vendors, local food vendors, live music, and the annual La Plata Bed Races event that kicks off at 3 p.m. on La Grange Avenue. Celebrate La Plata began following the 2002 tornado as a way to celebrate the rebuilding of the Town of La Plata. In honor of this year’s 20th anniversary, former Mayor Bill Eckman, who served in 2002, will recount the Town’s response managing the aftereffects of the natural disaster.
